If you have come to the Big Al website then odds are you are an Attica High alumnus, teacher, administrator, coach, parent or some combination thereof. As ACS graduates and Blue Devils, we would like to invite you to what will be the 4th Annual Big Al Blue Devil Open and Dinner Reunion on August 18th.

The first Big Al was conceived to get as many former Blue Devils together as possible, rekindle old memories and give back to the community and school that gave us our oldest friends and some of our fondest memories. In just three years the event has exceeded our wildest expectations. The 2011 Big Al welcomed 180 golfers and hosted nearly 300 for the dinner reunion. Along with the Attica Alumni Barbecue held the night before, the Big Al weekend has become a much anticipated date on the calendars of Blue Devils coming in from near and far.

If you were, by any definition a Blue Devil, then this event is open to you. The golf is offered as a consideration of our advancing age because riding in a cart and swinging a club is about all we can handle! The dinner-reunion provides an opportunity for non-golfers to join the party and for everyone to celebrate being a Blue Devil and to present the annual Big Al Award.

In naming the event and award we were able to recognize and honor Al Feeney, a man who worked for and cared about us as students, athletes and people. The first Big Al award was given in 2010 to Denny Leyden in recognition of his 36-years as an ACS coach and educator. The 2011 Big Al honored Don Rogers for his truly incomparable 44-year record of sacrifice, service and success. The 2012 Big Al Award promises to lift up and honor yet another outstanding recipient.

When the Big Al weekend is over we hope you leave reconnected to the past and committed to making the future a bit better for those who wear the Orange and Blue.
